Geothermal: The Hole Story
We have great strength in the design and installation of geothermal heating and air conditioning systems. We were IGSHPA certified to install such systems, and it is what lead me to get back into the heating and air conditioning business in 2002, having grown up in the field loving the work.

In spite of our great strength, the current economic environment makes these systems less of a bargain relative to natural gas heating and conventional air conditioning equipment. And we recommend against installing them at this time, unless you have some overarching reason to install one and are willing to invest what it takes to ensure a successful outcome.

If you already have a geothermal system, we are experts on heat pumps, and we encourage you to call us, if you need service. We want to help.

During the heating season, a geothermal heat pump (also known as a ground source heat pump) takes heat energy out of the earth, and uses it to heat your home. During the air conditioning season this process is reversed; the geothermal heat pump takes heat energy out of your home, and puts it into the ground. An investment in geothermal technology conserves non-renewable fossil fuels, lowers fuel and maintenance costs, and increases the value of your property.

Geothermal heat pumps have been in use for many years, and they are proven reliable. They function based on the same refrigeration cycle technology found in other types of heat pumps, air conditioners, and refrigeration equipment. However, because they transfer heat between your home and the earth, when installed properly, they are much more efficient than functionally similar air source equipment.

We are experienced installing and servicing geothermal equipment from, but not limited to, the following manufacturers:
